Dr. Tillwich V511 Precision Piston Valve Oil, 8 ml is a specialised lubricant for Perinet piston valves in brass instruments. Supplied in a compact precision oiler with a fine dispensing tip for accurate application.
Features and benefits
The specially formulated V511 oil produces a uniform, stable lubricating film with high pressure resistance. It reduces friction between the piston and valve casing, promotes smooth valve movement and provides excellent long-term lubrication.
The formula prevents corrosion, is completely acid-free and non-resinifying, and remains cold-resistant down to −20 °C. The manufacturer also specifies that it contains no low-viscosity hydrocarbons.
Instrument compatibility
Developed for Perinet piston valves in trumpets, cornets, flugelhorns, euphoniums, baritones, tubas and other brass instruments equipped with piston valves.
V511 is applied directly to the working surfaces of valve pistons. For cylinder and rotary valve mechanisms, Dr. Tillwich offers the separate B411 Cylinder Oil.

Application and maintenance
Carefully remove the piston as instructed by the instrument manufacturer. Apply a few drops of V511 to its clean working surface, reinstall the piston and operate the valve several times to distribute the oil.
Important: ensure the piston guide is correctly aligned. Never force a valve into its casing. V511 is not designed for tuning slides. Follow the product label and keep out of reach of children.
